Friendship through Food

One of our core aims is to reduce social isolation. This is made possible by offering a welcoming and friendly space to eat good food and strike up conversations with others in the cafe.

The cafe gets regular deliveries from Fare Share a charity which saves food that would otherwise go to landfill. We are passionate about reducing food waste, and actively work to make connections with local businesses to minimise the amount of food wasted.

We believe that everyone should be able to have access to healthy, nutritious food,  Our cafe meals are cooked from fresh and we have Veg boxes which are priced at £3. 

We also stock a variety of Whole Meals priced at £1 and plenty of store essentials, including bread and pasta.

We offer all kinds of volunteering opportunities, from cooks, to gardeners, friendly faces in the cafe space, to shelf staking extraordinaires! 

Something always needs cleaning, re-organising, or collecting from local businesses.

Liking our Facebook page and sharing our posts also helps us to get the word out about what we do. 

The cafe offers a three course meal for £3. This includes a starter, a main, and a dessert. The menu changes daily so be sure to check out the our Facebook or Instagram for further information. 

We are also lucky to be sponsored by Starbucks as one of their Community Cafes, and so we are able to offer a hot drink for just £1. 

All the food on our shelves is priced affordably, starting from just 20p! We keep our shelves, fridges, and freezer filled with bargains each week.
